Purpose

Reservoir models that support development planning.

GeoMata builds on existing interpretations, combining geological understanding with fit-for-purpose modeling workflows. Documented assumptions, uncertainty analysis and collaboration with reservoir engineers help teams use the models for resource evaluation, simulation and development planning.

Capabilities

Reservoir modeling, review and integration.

02

Model assurance

Independent review of existing models and workflows, covering geological consistency, input assumptions, uncertainty and recommendations for further work.

03

Integrated subsurface evaluation

Integration of seismic interpretation, geological mapping, well data, petrophysics and reservoir engineering feedback to support resource evaluation and development planning.

04

Exploration & resource evaluation

Seismic interpretation, AVO integration, prospect maturation, volumetrics and uncertainty analysis for exploration, well planning and farm-out studies.

05

Advanced workflow integration

Integration of seismic inversion, geostatistics and machine-learning volumes, with quality checks and comparison against well data and conventional modeling methods.

Representative experience

From frontier prospects to mature producing fields.

Tim McCullagh's experience includes reservoir characterization, resource evaluation and multidisciplinary studies across Canada, Colombia and Southeast Asia.

GeoMata BAR Framework™

Support for your subsurface study.

BAM, AIM and RAM are diagnostic entry points selected to suit the project objectives, available evidence and required level of detail. Each can be used independently or combined as the study develops.

BAM

Baseline Assessment

A shared technical basis

Review the available data, existing interpretations, model assumptions and key uncertainties to establish the scope of further work.

AIM

Advanced Insight

Further evaluation of uncertainty

Use data integration, scenario modeling and uncertainty analysis where additional detail would support the study objectives.

RAM

Rapid Assessment

A focused technical assessment

Address a specific question through a targeted review or fit-for-purpose model within an agreed scope and timeframe.

Flexible entry points. The scope is agreed with the client team; there is no requirement to complete all three assessments or follow a fixed sequence.

How GeoMata engages

Working with your team.

BAR guides the technical scope. Build, Assure and Integrate describe how GeoMata contributes to the client team.

Working method

A practical, collaborative modeling process.

GeoMata agrees the objectives and comparison criteria with the client team, then develops the model through input review, testing and engineering feedback.

  1. 01

    Frame

Agree the study objectives, key uncertainties, available evidence and evaluation criteria.

  2. 02

    Build

Develop a fit-for-purpose model that reflects the geological interpretation and study requirements.

  3. 03

    Test

Compare model results with well data, volumetrics, dynamic behaviour and alternative interpretations.

  4. 04

    Transfer

Deliver the model with documented assumptions, limitations and quality checks, and support its use in subsequent studies.

Model delivery

Documented models for continued use.

  • + Traceable inputs and assumptions
  • + Uncertainty cases and their implications
  • + Recorded reservoir engineering feedback
  • + Reproducible QC and change control
  • + Model transfer and follow-up support
